     John Oldham Denty Murray was commonly known as Jack. He was christened on 25 May 1854 in Friern Barnet, Middlesex. He was baptised by his father of Colney Hatch, who was chaplain of the Middlesex County Lunatic Asylum. He was the son of Rev Henry Murray and Louisa Frances Denty.
     John Oldham Denty Murray married Mary Ann Sally Bird on 10 November 1885 in Dehra, Bengal Presidency, India.
     John died on 4 February 1924 in Bedford, Bedfordshire, England, aged 69.
