Jonathan Cocksedge was christened on 6 July 1873 in Bradfield St George. George, Jonathan, William, Annie, Martina and Henrietta were listed as the children of Isaac Cocksedge in the 1881 census in Great Green, Bradfield St George.
Jonathan Cocksedge married Annie Gladwell on 25 September 1890 in Bradfield St George, Suffolk. He was 19, a brickmaker and she was 17. He was the son of Isaack, brickmaker and she was the daughter of Henry, labourer. Witnesses were Isaac & Anne Cocksedge and all made their mark.
Another descendant claims they married at Haughley & had 15 children, only one is still alive, her uncle Harold Cocksedge.
John and Annie moved to Denaby Main in South Yorkshire, then to the next villiage of Conisbrough (where she lives) a couple of years later.
     Jonathan Cocksedge and Annie Gladwell were recorded on the 1891 census in Fallwood? St, Bradfield St George. Jonathan Cocksedge, aged 19, brickmaker, born BSG with his wife Annie aged 17 born Fornham St Martin and their daugher Emma aged 4 months, born at BSG.
Jonathan Cocksedge moved to Denaby Main, Conisbrough, Yorkshire, circa 1892.

     Joshua Cocksedge arrived per "Chatsworth" on 13 January 1864 at Victoria, Australia. Probably the 'John' who immigrated aged 15 on "Chatsworth" in 1864 with James & Eliza Bullett - 17 years in Vic at his death & no Joshuas recorded in shipping lists.
Joshua Cocksedge married Eliza Hannah Vaux on 19 July 1870 in Yarram, Victoria, Australia. At their marriage he was a labourer of Won Wron aged 21. Eliza was the daughter of Charles Vaux & Alice Claridge, sawyer of Yarram, aged 17.. Joshua was a farmer in Yarram, Victoria, in 1875. In a letter to the Lands Dept on 27 June 1875 he states" in respect to my improvements,I have resided upon it ever since I received my occupation licence. I have a weatherboard cottage & garden, 63 chains of post & rail
fence. It is all enclosed, used for grazing purposes.
     Joshua died on 11 January 1881 in Boodyarn, Yarram, Victoria, aged 33. Joshua Cocksedge, farmer, 33 years, son of William, labourer & Maria, formerly Wallaker; informant Charles Vaux, father-in-law of Won Wron. Born Bury St Edmunds, 17 years in Victoria. Married at Yarram aged 22. Issue: Alice Maria 9, Albert 7, William Charles 5, Edith 3, Frederick Ernest 1. See also Coulthard book. His wife Eliza Hannah subsequently married James Emerson Coulthard. At his wife's death he was named as Frederick and her age at marriage 19, her father's name was William! Vic probate index gives death date as 11 Jan 1880 admon to Eliza J Coulthard. He was buried on 13 January 1881 in Church of England section, Yarram.
     His will was proved on 16 April 1885 at Victoria.
