     Abraham Cocksedge was the son of George Cocksedge and Elizabeth Jackson? Abraham Cocksedge was also known as Jackson in records. He was born before February 1788. An Abraham Jackson was baptised 7 Dec 1788 at Gt Welnetham, as son of John Jackson & Elizabeth.
     Abraham Cocksedge married Frances Plummer on 20 December 1814 in Bradfield Combust, Suffolk.
     Abraham Cocksedge and Elizabeth Cocksedge, George Cocksedge, Henry Cocksedge, John Cocksedge, Sophia Cocksedge and Mary Ann Cocksedge were beneficiaries in George Cocksedge's will dated 1 September 1818 in Stanningfield.
     Abraham Cocksedge made a will dated 30 January 1823 in Bradfield Combust. I Abraham Cocksedge called Jackson in my father's will, late servant to J B Edwards esq of Bradfield Combust... to Anna Cocksedge my daughter, property in Stanningfield which was bequeathed to me by my late father, at age 21, my brothers and sister... appoints Elizabeth Cocksedge my sister, John Bidwell Edwards and Annabell Enraght to be executors.
     Abraham died on 13 February 1823 in Bradfield Combust, Suffolk. The Bury Post 19 Feb 1823 p. 29 reported: On Sat last, aged 34, Abraham Cocksedge, 16 years a faithful servant of J B Edwards, Esq. of Bradfield Lodge.
His memorial reads: Sacred to the memory of Abrm Cocksedge who died 13 February 1823 aged 35 years; Frances the wife of Abr. Cocksedge, born 1770?? died 1 Feby 1820 aged... The stone is embellished with two cocks. He was buried on 19 February 1823 in Bradfield Combust, Suffolk.
     His will was proved on 11 September 1823 at Sudbury. Abraham Cocksedge, called Jackson.
