     Richard Steer married Joan Goodin on 15 October 1657 in Darley, Derbyshire.
     In Robert Steer's will dated 13 June 1661 in Darley, Derbyshire, Richard Steer was named as heir; Robert Steer of Stancliffe in the parish of Darley, co. Derby, yeoman. Revoking all former wills. To be buried in the parish church of Darley.
To my son Richard Steere 12d.
To my sister Dorothy Shore an annuity of 40/- to be paid to her by my executor at Whitsuntide and Martinmas.
To Thomas Millward 20/-.
To Margrett Smith 40/-.
To my daughter Katherne Redferne and to my son-in-law William Hardye, each 12d.
To each of my grandchildren 12d.

     Robert Steer was born in January 1590/91 in Darley, Derbyshire, England. Henrie Steare had two sonnes baptised in Januarie the one called Roger and the other Robert. He was the son of Henry Steer and Alice Unknown (Steer).
     Robert Steer was also reported as having married Elizabeth Senior? on 21 November 1610 in Darley, Derbyshire.
     Robert Steer married Elizabeth Senior? on 20 November 1611 in Darley, Derbyshire. Robert was a yeoman in Bridgetown & Stancliffe Hall, Darley, Derbyshire..
     Robert Steer lived at Bridgetown, Darley, Derbyshire, from 1612 to 1630. He was widowed before 16 May 1631 on the death of his wife Elizabeth Senior?.
     Robert Steer of Bridgetown was listed in the Derbyshire Freeholders for 1633.
