The naming pattern of her children suits the Kilmuir Easter christening and parentage however, her grandson's obituary states that she was the daughter of 'Old' Bain of the Brewery and his wife Elizabeth Fraser, and sister of William and David of Davidstoun. However I can find no evidence of a suitable birth. She was christened on 17 January 1777 in Kilmuir Easter. She was the daughter of Donald Bain and Margaret Ross.

George Baker was born circa 1819 in Wetheringsett, Suffolk. He was the son of Samuel Baker and Mary Sutton.
