     Sir Archibald Dunbar 4th Bart of Northfield (de jure) was born on 15 December 1693 in Scotland. He was the son of Robert Dunbar and Margaret MacKenzie. d with flowers de lis gules (for Randolph) all within a bordure quartered azure and of the first and in the centre a Deers ead caboss'd (for difference).
     Sir Archibald Dunbar 4th Bart of Northfield (de jure) married Helen Dunbar, daughter of Archibald Dunbar and Rebecca Adamson, in 1735. They were cousins..
     Sir Archibald Dunbar 4th Bart of Northfield (de jure) married secondly Anne Bain in 1750. Archibald de jure 4th Bart of Northfield. Burke's Online states: He neither asumed or claimed the title; was served heir male 1776 and directed by Lord Lyon to continue designation of Northfield in 1763 or 1776.
     Archibald died Of Newton. Died at London and buried in the vault of St. Ann’s Church Soho on 13 January 1769 aged 75.
     His will was proved on 7 July 1769 at Moray, Scotland. Archibald Dunbar, of Thundertoun.
