     Major James F MacPherson was born on 11 November 1835 in Tomintoul, Kirkmichael, Banffshire. He was the son of Rev Charles MacPherson and Mary Farquharson. Major James F MacPherson was christened on 30 November 1835 in Tomintoul.
     James died on 20 December 1912 aged 77. He was a Major in the 62nd Regiment of Foot; unmarried, Major in 8th Regt, succeeded brother in Corrachree.

     Jane was registered as McCulloch, Jane, h.d. at Carisbrook, Victoria, on the 1908 electoral roll. Also listed were McCulloch, George, farmer; John, farmer; Joseph, farmer; Matilda, h.d; Robert, farmer; William, Charlotte Plains, farm labourer.
     Jane MacPherson was mentioned in the will of Joseph MacCulloch dated 23 April 1915.
     Jane died in 1920 in Maryborough, Victoria. She was buried in the cemetery, Carisbrook. Memorial inscription: In memory of Joseph McCulloch, and also – his wife Jane (no dates) The register destroyed by fire in 1921.

     Jean or Jane MacPherson married James Cameron as his second wife, on 15 November 1831 in Kirkmichael, Banffshire. James Cameron, widower (Protestant) Tombrech and Jane McPherson residing in Fodderletter having produced a regular certificate of their Banns of marriage having been proclaimed three successive Sundays at the parish Kirk of Kirkmichael and having been regularly proclaimed in the Catholic chapel of Tomintoul and no objections offered were married in the presence of Charles Stuart surgeon Louischok (?) and Donald Cameron Tombreck and other witnesses the 8 Nov 1831.
