     Michael Parker was born in 1730. He was the eldest son of of Alderman Harding Parker of Passage West, and had 3 sons and 8 daughters including Mabella, who maried cousin William Parker d'Esterre. He was the son of Harding Parker and Catherine Neville.
Michael Parker married Anne D'Esterre, daughter of Henry D'Esterre (2) and Lucia Norcott, on 3 March 1761 in Dublin, Ireland. Parker, Michael of Killbrooke co Cork, Esquire and D'Esterre, Anne of the parish of St Mary's Dublin, spinster, dated 14 Feb 1761.
     Michael died on 16 September 1791 in Passage West, Cork, Ireland. Parker, Michael of Passage co Cork, dated 27 August 1791 Proved 24 Oct 1791. Son Henry Harding Parker- wife Ann Parker once DeEsterre - second son Richard Nevill Parker - dau Eliza Ann Boland, daughters Anne and Catherine - uncle Richard Nevill, Esq - daughters Allice and Luocia - brother William Parker - Brother in law Norcott De Esterre - third son William, daughters Judith, Dorcas & Mabellla.

     Norcott died on 18 May 1863 in Cooks River Rd, New South Wales, aged 16.

Rachel Owen Parker

(14 April 1838 - 22 April 1926)
     Rachel Owen Parker was born on 14 April 1838 At Moreton Bay, on the 14th ultimo, the Lady of J. S. Parker, Esq., Superintendent of Agriculture, of twins, a boy and girl. in Eagle Farm, Queensland. She was the daughter of John Skottowe Parker and Jane Phillips. Rachel Owen Parker was christened on 22 April 1838 in Moreton Bay. Rachel Owen, daughter of John Scotto Parker & Jane Parker of Eagle Farm, agriculturalist.
Rachel Owen Parker witnessed Richard Ryther Steer Bowker and Lydia Frances Phillips's wedding on 11 November 1858 in St Paul's, Paterson.
Rachel Owen Parker married William Mathew Hodgkins on 19 September 1865 in St Paul's, Dunedin, New Zealand.
She bequeathed her daughter Frances her short stature and sharp features. They lived at 32 Royal Terrace, Dunedin.Towards the end of 1869 they moved to Cumberland St, Northcote. In 1878 they returned to Royal Terrace at Claverton House. In the early 80s they left Dunedin to live in Waira, a more modest dwelling in Ravensbourne, a small surburban hamlet about two miles from the city. In 1881 they visited Australia. In 1889 they shifted from Waira to Cranmore Lodge, Melrose, on the hills above Dunedin, renting a 13 room house with room to keep poultry and a cow. In 1897 they again moved to a smaller house in Roslyn, a middle class suburb. A month after her husband's death they moved to a rented cottage in Castle St North, a mixed, rather seedy quarter of town. Frank had taken a job in the country and only Bert, a clerk in one of the city offices, was left with Frances and their mother. By 1903 Rachel and her sons Bert & Percy were renting a samll wooden house (hardly more than a cottage) in Devon St, a mile or so from her daughter's fashionable house on Wellington Terrace. See photograph on p.49 of Rachel, Isabel & her children there (held at Alexander Turnbull Library). By 1905 she shared a house with daughter Frances in Rosina Terrace as her sons had married. There is another photograph taken in 1923.
     Rachel Owen Parker and William Mathew Hodgkins travelled to Melbourne, Victoria, in 1881.
     Rachel resided at 'Waira', Ravensbourne, 1884.
     Rachel resided at 'Cranmore Lodge', Waverley St, Dunedin, 1889. This was subsequently named Wallace St in the suburb of Melrose. It was demolished in the early 1960s.
     Rachel resided at Pacific St, Dunedin, 1897.
     Rachel died on 22 April 1926 in Wellington, New Zealand, aged 88.

     Richard died on 30 July 1832 in Passage West, Cork, aged 58. July 30 at Waterview, Passage-West, Cork, Richard Neville Parker, Esq., one of the oldest magistrates of that county, and Alderman of Cork. He was Mayor of Cork in 1826 & 1827. He was buried on 2 August 1832 in St Mary's, Marmullane, Passage West, Cork.

The Parker family were resident at Passage West from the early eighteenth century and were prominent in the life of the city, including Harding Parker who was Mayor of Cork. In 1875, Hanna Maria Parker, executrix of Richard Neville Parker, offered for sale the demense lands and Mansion House of Waterview, Passage West, in the barony of Kerrycurrihy, county Cork. The sale notice indicates the property was held by fee farm grant from members of the de Vesci family..
