Douglas MacLeod

(9 September 1910 - 29 May 1990)
     Douglas MacLeod was born on 9 September 1910 in Victoria. Douglas was a farmer in 'Inveresk', Calrossie, near Yarram, Victoria.
     Douglas MacLeod married Jessie Findlay MacKenzie, daughter of Thomas George MacKenzie and Annie Littlejohn Fraser, circa 1938 in Victoria.
     Douglas was registered as as a farmer of Yarram, for land at Won Wron at Alberton, on the 1949 electoral roll.
     "Calrossie" Sold Two hundred and ninety-eight acres of "Calrossie" was sold at auction at Yarram recently. This well known property was selected by the late D T McKenzie and was noted for its quality. It was offered in two lots: 194 acres with a small four roomed cottage went at £92/10/ per acre, being pur- chased by Mr Douglas McLeod, of Yarram. The remaining 104 acres, with no buildings, went to Mr Clyde Coulthard, of Yarram, at £91 per acre..
     Douglas was registered as Douglas McLeod, farmer at Yarram, on the 1966 electoral roll.
     Douglas died on 29 May 1990 in Royal Melbourne Hospital, Carlton, Victoria, aged 79. His usual residence was Inveresk, Calrossie.
