     In John Rich's will dated 7 July 1682 in Penistone, Mary Rich was named as heir; Will of John Rich, yeoman, of Millhouse, Penistone dated 7 July 1682 mentions his now wife Isabel, his son John Rich and Mary & Martha his younger daughters, Zena, wife of Thomas Littlewood of Cumberworth, his eldest daughter and their children.
     In the name of God Amen July ... 34 Chas II 1682 I John Rich of Millhouse in the parish of Penistone, yeoman being sick and weak of body but of sound mind and perfect memory ... my body ... to be buried at the discretion of my executor ... I do hereby give and bequeath unto ISSABELL NOW MY WIFE one third part of all my goods and chattels ... other two thirds of my said goods and chattels and all my money at interest shall be by me disposed to the benefit and for the ... of JOHN RICH my SONNE and MARY AND MARTHA my two younger daughters;
     Item after the said Issabel now my wife shall have the third part of my goods and cattels ... before ... divided forth for her use; all the other two parts of my said goods and chattels and personal estate; and also all and every ... of money whatsoever ... I give and bequeath the same unto the said JOHN RICH MY SONNE provided and under this condition that he the said John Rich my son his executors or administrators doe faithfully pay and discharge the severall ... Mary & Martha my two younger daughters either of them the sum of one hundred pounds to be paid unto them within the space of twelve months next after my decease
     Item I give and bequeath unto Scena the wife of Thomas Littlewood of Cumberworth my eldest daughter the sum of twenty shillings and unto the two children of the said Thomas Littlewood which he hath the said Scena his wife either of them ...      In Amor Rich's will dated 18 July 1652 in 'Smallshaw', Thurlstone, Penistone, Yorkshire, Mary Rich was named as heir; His will mentions his son Daniel Rich, his grandson Silvanus, his deceased son Edward and Edward's children - Daniel, the children of Amor Rich, Mary wife of Stephen West, Martha widow Greene. John Rich. Hellen Rich. William Rich is a witness. There is no mention of a grandson Edward, let alone as son of Edward, unless he is one of the un-named children of Edward's son Amor but he seems too old for this relationship.
     In the name of God Amen the Eighteenth day of July AD 1652 Aymor Rich of Smallshaw in the parish of Penniston and county of York; being in good health of body and of good and perfect memory, Gods name be praised therefore and desirous to dispose of my worldly Estate now in my health, All former wills by me heretofore made disallowed and revoked, I do make this my last will and testament in manner and form following, First I bequeath my Soul to God hoping assuredly to be saved by the death and passion of Jesus Christ, And my body to the Earth from whence it came, to be disposed at the discretion of my executors hereafter named;
     Item I give unto Silvanus Rich my grandchild all my houshold goods and husbandry geer at Bull house if any be,
     Item I give unto my son Daniel Rich all my houshold goods that I have at Smallshaw (if any be ...) and my will is that if the said Silvanus Rich my grandchild his heirs and assigns shall have hold and enioy peacably and quietly all and every part and parcel of the lands and tenements with thappurtenances which I have given unto him the said Silvanus Rich without suit trouble claim or molestation to be made by Daniel Rich my grandchild son of Edward Rich my eldest son deceased, or by any of the children of the said Edward Rich or by any other person or persons by through or under them or any of them, or by the procurement of them or any of them That then the said Silvanus Rich shall pay out of a Bond if he hold and enioy the said Lands quietly without suit claim or trouble the sum of £100 within five years next after my decease, making the said Silvanus & his heirs and assigns such discharge and discharges and release of all titles or any other assurance as by his Councel learned in the Law - shall be thought fit And for want of such discharge the money to be unpaid, the money to be divided in manner as followeth.
     To the Children of Edward Rich my eldest son viz to Daniel Rich £50, to the Children of Amor Rich £10, To Mary the wife of Stephen West £10, To Martha which is widow Greene £10. To John Rich £10. To Hellen Rich £10.
     Item I give unto Silvanus Rich my grandchild and his heirs for ever, all my deeds indentures wills and all my writings whatsoever (- certain bonds bills of debts and notes of debts only excepted) which I give to my executors hereafter named
     The rest of my goods not bequeathed I give to the said Silvanus Rich and Daniel Rich my son and I make them Executors of this my last Will and Testament.

The brig "Emma" departed Hobart Town 14 July, carrying cabin passengers: Miss Bird, Miss Rosalie Bird, Miss A Bird, Miss Mary Rich, Master Harry Rich, arriving at Sydney from Hobart Town. Mary was a governess in 1867.
     Mary died on 7 August 1867 in 109 Albert Street, East Melbourne, Victoria, aged 26. She was buried on 10 August 1867 in the New Cemetery, Melbourne.

     Mary Isabella Tempest Rich was born on 21 April 1854 in Sydney, New South Wales. The family bible states Friday at 9 p.m. The Sydney Morning Herald on Monday 24 April announced; On the 21st instant at Cumblerland Terrace, Mrs Charles H Rich, of a daughter. This was repeated in Bell's life in Sydney... on the 29th. She was the daughter of Rev Charles Hamor Rich and Isabella Tempest Bird.
     In Rosalie Bird's will dated 23 April 1901 in Darlinghurst, New South Wales, Mary Isabella Tempest Rich was named as heir; She was living at Solomia??, Bayswater Rd, near Sydney and left her estate to her trustees for the benefit of her nieces Mary Isabella Tempest Rich, Emily Tempest Rich (Sister Freda of the Kilburn sisterhood). The trustees and executors were her nephews Hamor Charles Ellison Rich and George Edward Rich.
     Mary was registered at 52 Darlinghurst Rd, Darlinghurst, on the between 1930 and 1931 electoral roll.
     Mary died on 15 January 1933 in Sydney, New South Wales, aged 78. She was buried in Waverley cemetery, Bronte.
     Her will was proved in May 1933 at Sydney, New South Wales.
