     Her religious name was Freda. Emily Tempest Rich was born on 20 May 1858 on Thursday at 3 a.m. in Braidwood, New South Wales. She was the daughter of Rev Charles Hamor Rich and Isabella Tempest Bird. Emily Tempest Rich was christened on 2 July 1858 in Braidwood.
     In Rosalie Bird's will dated 23 April 1901 in Darlinghurst, New South Wales, Emily Tempest Rich was named as heir. Emily was a nun at the Kilburn Sisterhood In the early 21st centruy, they were held a 'Sr Fr3eda Mission" on Sundays at St James church, Sydney, in Sydney, New South Wales.      Emily was registered as a mission sister at St Gabriels, Birrell St, Bronte, on the between 1930 and 1933 electoral roll.

A George Rich, who was at one time a scholar in Stainborough School, was working for Bramah at Pimlico in 1799, but in what capacity we are not told. Possibly he might be the "smith" alluded to; but he, however, left Bramah, and was in the West Indies in 1807 and NSW in 1810. He returned to England and in his old age lived in Rich Lane, Barnsley.
