1819 - At Urlamore of Campdel, Nov 5 1819 - Jas McPherson, shoemaker in Tomintoul lawful son to John McPherson, late in Blairnamarrow by Margaret Grant was married to Margaret Forbes, lawful daughter to Lachlan Forbes, blacksmith in Bridgend of Camdel by Jane Stewart, this entry 4 Nov in presence of William
Forbes, son to Alexr Forbes farmer in Tullch and Alexr Stewart Achnasarnas Glenlivet. [RH21/35 Tomintoul RC marriages]. This wedding was also recorded in the parish church.

Kirkmichael churchyard : M.I. - Sacred to the memory of John McPherson, once farmer in Blairnamarrow who died 2 Jan 1802 aged 63; and Margaret Grant his spouse died 10 Dec 1832 aged 74; and of their son James McPherson, shoemaker, Tomintoul died 15 Feb 1835, aged 47.
