     In John Squirrell's will dated 13 August 1806 in Ringshall, Robert Squirrell was named as heir; In the name of God amen I John Squirrell of the parish of Ringshall in the co. of Suffolk farmer being of perfect mind and memory on this 13th day of August 1806 make this my last will and testament as in manner & form following that is to say my will is to give to my son John Squirrell the remainder part of my lease of the farm where i (sic) now live and likewise all my Outdore stock and indore stock with all other property whatsoever and wheresoever upon a valuation that shall be had between the two independent parteys the one person to be chused by the executors and the other to be chused by my son William Squirrell and further my will is that 3 youngest children shall be kept by my son John Squirrell during their minority by being paid for the same as the 2 independent parteys shall think right the one to be choused by my executors and the other by my son William Squirrell and further my will is that after my funeral expenses are paid and all just debts are paid that the remaining part of my property shall be equally divided between my surviving children Elizabeth, Phebee, John, William, Jimmyma, Robert, Sarah, Mary, Dinah, except my son William and my son Robert, which shall have shorte of these legacy twenty pounds a peace each upon account of moneys that they have received in planting them in life. He was of Hitcham when he wrote his will in 1868 but late of Offton, Maskells Hall. He farmed 360 acres & employed 10 men and 6 boys at Offton in 1861. Bought farm at Hitcham & Wattisham 1867. Left his farm to his wife & to Jos. & E... Hitchcock. Robert Freeman Squirrell was born on 10 March 1813 in 'Red House Farm', Ringshall. He was the son of John Squirrell and Frances Hitchcock. Robert Freeman Squirrell was christened in 1816 in Ringshall, Suffolk.
     Robert Freeman Squirrell married Hannah Unknown (Squirrell) in 1845 in Dallington, Sussex.

     Samuel Squirrell was christened on 6 November 1811 in Sutton, Suffolk, England. His convict description give his age as 21, and from Coombe, Sufolk. He was the son of Samuel Squirrell and Elizabeth Unknown (Squirrell).
     Samuel Squirrell was involved in a criminal court case on 25 March 1837 in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. Samuel Squirrel was convicted at Suffolk Assizes, Bury St Edmunds 25 March 1837 and sentenced to be transported - with Charles Draper - for stealing a silver watch and some silver from John Balls, parish clerk of Needham. See the Bury & Norwich Post for further details. He was transported to Hobart, Tasmania, Australia, arriving 21 November 1837. The "Susan" departed from London 8 May.
     Samuel Squirrell married Maria Whitmore on 18 January 1847 in Oatlands, Tasmania, Australia.
     Samuel Squirrell travelled to Mlelvourne, Victoria, on 27 February 1852 per the "He travelled alone per the Vixen, with a conditional pardon havng arrived on the Susan".
     Samuel died on 12 April 1885 in Oatlands, Tasmania, aged 73.
