     John St Aubyn and Catherine Godolphin obtained a marriage licence on 29 March 1637 in Exeter, Devon.
John St Aubyn married Catherine Godolphin, daughter of Francis Godolphin and Ann Carew, circa April 1637. Her marriage took Treveneage into the St Aubyn family but the barton was sold and after passing through a branch of the Robinson family, it was purchased in c. 1665 by the Tredenhams. John St Aubyn was the sheriff of Cornwall from 1643 to 1667.
He was named in the will of his uncle Thomas aged 30 and more at his father's death, sole executor of his father's will. He purchased St Michael's Mount in 1657, MP for Michell 1679. He had 4 sons and several daughters.

Feet of fines V.11 #1067 3 July 1618: Isabella de Sancto Albino & Joan sisters & heirs of Mauger, son of Mauger de S.A., claimants ... by William de Lucy, in her place by Kings Writ & Guy de Sancto Albino, deforcient re the manor of Parracombe & advowson of the church of that manor.
     John resided at Parracombe, Devon, 1330. He married Joan and from them descend the St Aubyns of Devon.
