Jane Dunkin Steer

     Jane Dunkin Steer was born on 3 August 1825 in Bengal, India. She was the daughter of Charles William Steer and Jane Woodburn Watson. Jane Dunkin Steer was christened on 8 October 1825 in Bengal.
     Jane Dunkin Steer married Charles Richard Harford on 2 September 1846 in St Michael's, Heavitree, Devon. E Edmonds Esq., Jun., of Frankley, Wilts, to Sophia Anne and at the same time and place, Charles Richard, eldest son of Charles R Harford, of Rutland Gate, Hyde Park, to Jane Dunkin, daughters of Charles William Steer, Esq. of Spring Lawn, in this county.

Lt William Watson Steer

(19 June 1813 - 15 January 1842)
     Lt William Watson Steer was born on 19 June 1813 in Ghazipur, Bengal Presidency, India. He was the son of Charles William Steer and Jane Woodburn Watson.
     William died on 15 January 1842 in India aged 28. He was killed in action on the retreat from Kabul. He was a Lieutenant in the 37th Native Infantry.
     His will was proved in December 1850.

Capt Sulivan Harrington Steer

     Capt Sulivan Harrington Steer was born on 4 November 1817 in India. He was the son of Charles William Steer and Jane Woodburn Watson. Capt Sulivan Harrington Steer was christened on 23 November 1817 in Calcutta, West Bengal, India.
     Capt Sulivan Harrington Steer served in the military as Captain in the 56th Native Infantry between 1834 and 1849 in India. He arrived in India 4 Nov 1834. He was cashiered 27 Jan 1849.
     Capt Sulivan Harrington Steer married Sarah Jane Baldwin on 27 November 1841 in Dinapore, Bengal Presidency, India.
     Sulivan died before December 1850.
