     Margaret died in 1945 in Newington, Edinburgh, Midlothian.

This is based on their immigration record, but there is no record a suitable birth or baptism in Kirkmichael or Aberdeen. Her descendants suggest that she was born at Rothes (Dundurcas) which matches a likely baptism. She was the daughter of Alexander MacPherson and Anne Grant.      Martha MacPherson was born on 21 April 1870 in Newmarket, Carisbrook, Victoria. She was the daughter of Paul MacPherson and Jane Emslie.
The Argus on 16 Feb 1876 reported: George Holton, an apple blight curer at Carisbrook, was arraigned on a charge of indecently assaulting a little child, five years of age, the daughter of a respectable farmer at Newmarket, named Paul Macpherson. The details of the case were most horrible. The prisoner was found guilty, and remanded.
Martha MacPherson married Samuel Jennings on 8 March 1893 in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales.
     Martha resided at 16 Blamey Street, Wagga Wagga, New South Wales.
She spoke with a strong Scottish acent and quoted all the Scottish sayings all her life, due to very little contact with people outside the family during childhood. She maintained the Scottish reputation for thrift e.g. bought bread at least one or two days old because it was cheaper but always maintained she bought stale bread because fresh bread gave her indigestion! .
     Martha died on 28 September 1958 in Calvary Private Hospital, Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, aged 88. She was buried on 30 September 1958 in the Presbyterian cemetery, Wagga Wagga.

Mary Ann MacPherson married James Robertson, son of John Robertson and Elisabeth MacIntosh, on 7 April 1869 in Newmarket, near Avoca, Victoria, Australia. They were married as Presbyterians by licence with the consent of her father. Her sister Jessie was witness along with William Byers. James was a farmservant of Wareek at the time.

     Mary was registered as James McPherson Robertson, labourer & Mary Ann Robertson & Paul McPherson Robertson, labourer. at McKean St, Maryborough, Victoria, on the 1924 electoral roll.

     Mary died on 20 April 1935 in 9 Roosevelt Street, North Coburg, Victoria, aged 84. The informant at her death was the undertaker who stated 10 years in NSW, 78 years in Vic. therefore moved in 1860 but would make her born in 1847! Her age at marriage is correct (19) but the place is given as Maryborough. She was buried on 23 April 1935 in New Melbourne General cemetery, Fawkner.
