Louisa Copperwheat married Col Henry Francis Denty, son of Captain James Denty and Lydia Shirtley, on 8 September 1816 in St Thomas, Southwark, Surrey.

     Louisa resided at India. She spent most of her life in India and had two daughters who married men of position.
     Louisa Copperwheat and Col Henry Francis Denty were recorded on the 1841 census in Parke, St Leonard, Devon. Henry F Denty, 55, Independent, Louisa 45, Louisa Frances 19, Mary Ann M, 9, plus two female servants. Mary Ann M was the only one of the family born in the county. Louisa Copperwheat was widowed on 11 January 1848 on the death of her husband Col Henry Francis Denty.
Louisa Copperwheat was listed in a directory dated 1850 as Denty, Mrs Col at 6 Higher Mt Radford, Exeter, Devon.
     Louisa Copperwheat was mentioned in the will of Martha Gambell dated 3 May 1850.
     In the 1851 census Louisa Copperwheat was living in the household of her son-in-law Rev Henry Murray in 3? South Parade, Chelsea, London, Middlesex.
     Louisa died on 10 September 1853 in Colney Hatch, Friern Barnet, Middlesex, aged 54. Her family claimed her age as 55. Gentleman's magazine Oct 1853 announced: At Colney Hatch, at the house of her son-in-law the rev. Henry Murray, Louisa, wife of the late late (sic) Col. Denty, H.E.I.C.S., late of Exeter . She was buried on 17 September 1853 in St James the Great, Friern Barnet.

     Martha Copperwheat was christened on 10 January 1779 in Lt Berkhampstead, Hertfordshire. She is probably the Martha baptised 10 Jan 1779 at Little Berkhampstead, Herts, daughter of Robert Copperwhate & Martha; but she stated Bedford as her birthplace in the 1851 census when aged 72. However the witnesses at her step-daughter's wedding were Samuel & Hannah Copperwheat who were also children of Robert & Martha who were baptised at Essendon, Hertfordshire, along with a Charles on 18 April 1790. Her admission to the Cooks Company stated she was the daughter of Robert, of Essington, Herts. She was the daughter of Robert Copperwheat and Martha Butler.
     Martha Copperwheat had a long term relationship with William Evans. She also appears to have had a subsequent relationship with William Cross with whom she had a daughter Louisa.
Martha Copperwheat witnessed James Vignali and Sarah Copperwheat's wedding on 3 October 1797 in St Bartholomew the Great, London.
     In William Evans's will dated 2 July 1805 in Bearbinder Lane, London, Martha Copperwheat was named as executrix of the estate. She was an executor of William Evans's estate on 6 July 1805 in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury. [CR:]Martha Copperwheat was listed as a Freeman of the city of London on 9 July 1805. Martha Copperwheat to be made free of this city ...18 Jun 1805 ... by redemption in the company of Cooks paying forty six shillings and eight pence. 10 July 1805 At a court holden at Guildhall, Martha Copperwheat of Bearbinder Lane inthe City of London, cook, praying to be admitted to the Freedom of this Company by Redemption is on paying usual fine and fees for such freedom admitted and sworn. Daughter of Robert of Essington, Herts, wheelwright.
     Martha resided at the Lambe Eating House, Bearbinder Lane, London, St Mary Woolnoth & Woolchurch, from 1806 to 1807. Bearbinder Lane (runs into Mansion House), (which is also close to St Swithins & St Stephens, Walbrook).
Martha Copperwheat married George Trull, son of William Trull and Ann Milford, on 18 January 1806 in St Thomas, Southwark, Surrey. George Trull of this parish, bachelor & Martha Copperwheat of this parish, spinster, by banns. Both signed the register and the witnesses were Wm Trull, Nathl Harris & Susanna Harris. Martha Copperwheat was widowed on 15 September 1807 on the death of her husband George Trull.
     Administration of the estate of George Trull was granted to Martha Trull, on 4 October 1808 in PCC George Trull, London. Admon to Martha Trull 4 April Oct 1808, £2000.
Martha Trull married Matthew Gambell as her second husband, on 24 August 1824 in St George, Bloomsbury, London. Matthew Gambell of this parish & Martha Trull of this parish were married by banns 24 August 1824 ... both signed in the presence of G Phillips and Mary Ann Trull. The next entry is for the marriage of John Phillips and Sarah Sargeant on the same day in the presence of Matthew Gambell & Mary Ann Trull.
She was 25 according to the American family history but this is more likely to be the marriage to George Trull. Mr Matthew Gambell of London, was an elderly widower with a grown family, (however he only mentions cousins in his will along with Martha's children).
     In Matthew Gambell's will dated 30 August 1824 in London, Martha Copperwheat was named as heir. She was an executor of Matthew Gambell's estate on 2 May 1829 in PCC.
     Martha Gambell and William Benjamin Hooper were recorded on the 1841 census in Manchester Terrace, Liverpool Rd, Islington. Martha Gamble, 60, independent, not born in county; Wm Hooper 30, blue manufacturer, yes; Mary Ann Hooper, 30, yes; William, 6, yes; George 4, yes; Mary Ann 11 months, yes; with two female servants.

     Martha Gambell made a will dated 3 May 1850 in Islington, London. I Martha Gambell of 2 Albion Villas, Liverpool Rd, Islington, Middlesex, widow do hereby revoke every will, codicil and testamentary disposition which I have heretofore made and declare this only be my last will and testament I direct that all my just debts and funeral and testamentary charges and expenses shall in the first place be paid by and out of the sum of £200 deposited with and now due and owing to me from my son in law Mr William Benjamin Hooper in whose house I now reside and subject to the payment thereof I direct that there shall also be paid out the said sum of £200 or the residue thereof after answering the purpose aforesaid the two legacies of £50 each bequeathed by the will of my late husband Matthew Gambell (of whose will I am an executor) to my son and daughter William Evans and Louisa Denty therein respectively named and I bequeath all the residue of my estate and effects of whatsoever nature or being unto my dear daughter Mary Ann Hooper wife of the said William Benjamin Hooper for own use and benefit absolutely and I appoint her my said daughter sole executrix. Dated 3 May 1850.
     Martha Gambell was living as a parent in the household of Mary Ann Trull in the 1851 census in 2 Albion Villas, Liverpool Rd, Islington, London.
     Martha and George resided at 106 West Biddle Street, Baltimore, Maryland, USA, 1854. A letter from William Evans, from Bahia Brazil to his nephew George expressed concern about the latter's mother carrying the onerous responsiblities of providing for paying guests in her 106 West Biddle St home. He sent love to her, aunt Hessie, her sister and the four Trull brothers, John, Willy, Graham & George.
     Martha died on 28 March 1856 in 2 Albion Villas, Liverpool Rd, Islington, London, England, aged 77. She was buried on 5 April 1856 in Highgate, London. Her headstone reads: Sacred to the memory of Martha Gambell, died 28 March 1856, aged 77. Henceforth be every tear suppress, and let us weep for joy that she is blest. From grief to bliss, from death to heaven removed, her memory honoured as her life beloved.
     Her will was proved on 21 May 1856 at PCC. Proved at London by her daughter Mary Ann Hooper. Her effects were valued at less than £300.

Wm, Hannah, Robert , removed to Cardington. Robert Copperwheat was christened on 28 September 1750 in Ampthill, Bedfordshire. Rob, son of Chas & Mary Copperwheat, Ampthill. He was the son of Charles Copperwheat and Mary Tomlyn.
Robert Copperwheat married Martha Butler on 14 October 1776 in St Peter, Bedford, Bedfordshire. The banns were called at Cardington 2 Sep 1776. He, as a wheelwright of Cardington, took on an apprentice Geo Brimley on 1 February 1777.
Receipts for marriage portions of £20: Robert Copperwheat for wife nee Martha Butler. ... He, as a wheelwright of Essendon, took an apprentice Robt Thebridge in February 1786 in Essendon. Robert was a wheelwright in 1805, Essendon. At his daughters admission to the Cooks Company in July 1805, he was described as a wheelwright of Essington, Herts.
     Robert died before 12 January 1823 in Essendon, Hertfordshire. He was buried on 12 January 1823 in St Mary the Virgin, Essendon.
