Carol Noble wrote: My mum, Dorothy Bullett, tells me from family stories that John Bullett was a Groom/horseman at a big wealthy house, down in Suffolk. As a young man, he got the daughter of the house (Lydia) pregnant. I believe that they married at a very young age and had a baby daughter Mary L Bullett in 1881 at Claines in Worcestershire. Lydia's father, don't know his name, set John up in business with his own Grocers shop in the High Street, in Droitwich in Worcestershire and he is here in the 1891 Worcester census. Aparently, John was more interested in hunting and shooting with the landed gentry than running the business, and summising, I think he must have fallen out with his father-in-law and moved up to Luddenden Foot in Halifax, where he returned to being a Groom/horseman. Mary L Bullett, was my mum's Aunty Louie, and it was always said that "she was born a Lady" hinting at the fact that Lydia's father must have been a Lord or some titled Gentleman.
