     Arthur Spruzen served in the War between 1916 and 1919. Arthur enlisted in the Army 24^th October 1916 and embarked for France on 16^th December 1916. He served with the 57^th Battalion in France and Belgium and returned to Australia on 11^th October 1919. He was discharged on 18^th. November 1919.
Arthur Spruzen married Stella Rout, daughter of Charles Rout and Ellen Bland, on 21 November 1916 in the Independent Church, Kew, Victoria.
     Arthur died on 10 August 1965 in Gippsland Base Hospital, Sale, aged 71. He was cremated in The Necropolis, Springvale.
