Frances Joanna Startin and Hubert Frederic Dempster were divorced in December 1861. Frances Joanna Dempster v. Hubert Frederick Dempster. She married secondly in the June quarter of 1864 as Frances Joanna Dempster in the Croydon registration district.
     The marriage of Frances Joanna Startin and Arthur or Joseph Pearson or Ellis was registered in Croydon RD, Surrey, in the June 1864 quarter. She was registered as both Startin & Dempster. In the 1871 census an Arthur W Pearson, 36, draper with wife Frances Pearson, 25 born Oxfordshire and son Herbert A Pearson aged 2 months born Islington, were living at 201 Downham? Rd, Islington. By 1881 there were 2 sons Herbert A aged 10 & George A, aged 5.

     I am looking for any information about my g.g.g.g.g.grandmother Alice Steer Jones.
Her father was John Steer and her mother was Elizabeth Mariot. They were married June 12, 1768. 1758!!
Their children were: John, b.1769, Alice b.1770, Elizabeth,b.1771, George b.1774, Susan b. 1775, Jane b.1777, Joseph b.1779, and Ann b. 1780. I believe they all lived in Darnall.
My problem is I cannot find who was John Steers father, I know there were a number of John Steers (at least three) in that same timeframe. Anyone who can share any information I would appreciate it.

     Ann died on 6 July 1759 aged 62. A Mrs Steer Binks was buried at Sheffield Cathedral on 29 Nov 1767..
