     Mary Dixon married James Bowker, son of Thomas Bowker and Mary Burgess, circa 1750 in St Giles, London, Middlesex. The marriage registers don't start until 1751.. Mary Dixon was an executor of James Bowker's estate on 22 April 1768 in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury.
     Mary Dixon made a will dated 29 April 1786 in Lambs Conduit St, London, Middlesex. Also codicil, dated 4 Apr1796 of Mary Bowker of Lambs Conduit St. (Middx.), widow (of Hoddesdon (Herts. when codical added), late of London). Bequeaths £2,000 4% bank annuities to Charles Spence of Walthamstow (Essex), esq., and Joseph Bushman (Busham in ZB0584/13) of Guildhall (London) gent., upon trust to pay out of the interest and dividends thereof, and annuity of £10 p.a. for life to Mary White (wife of James White of Brick Lane Old Street, tallow chandler) and the residue of the interest and dividends which accrue during MW's life to her daughter (and only child) Charlotte Frances Bowker for life, for her sole and separate use; and upon trust, from and after the decease of CFB, to assign and transfer the capital to the child(ren) of CFB, share and share alike, when they attain their majorities, with various provisoes for their maintenance and education etc. during their minorities and conditions and provisoes in the event of their being no such child etc.

Devises and bequeaths all the residue of her estate and effects to her daughter Charlotte Frances Bowker (appointed as executrix). Codicil (4 Apr. 1796). Bequeathes 20 guineas to William Bowker of Peterborough, attorney at law. Witness: Edm. Wilcox of Hoddesdon (Herts.) She added a codicil to her will on 4 April 1796 in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire.
     Mary died before 19 March 1797 in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire. She was buried on 19 March 1797 in Kingsthorpe, Northamptonshire. Mary Bowker of Hoddesden.
     Her will was proved on 8 April 1797 at PCC.

Patrick Leslie Dixon

(13 January 1917 - 5 November 1996)
     Patrick Leslie Dixon was commonly known as Les. He was born on 13 January 1917 in Eagle Junction, Queensland. He was the son of Joseph Eric Dixon and Mary Bridget Shannon. He reported for active duty between 1940 and 1945. His brother Jack's 1944 obituary states that F/Lt Patrick Leslie Dixon, enlisted in the RAAF in May 1940 and went to England in December 1940 with the first contingent of fully trained airmen to leave Australia. Whilst on an operational flight his plane had to be abandoned and after being afloat for a few days, he was picked up by an an enemy vessel, and has been a prisoner of war for three years..
     Patrick died on 5 November 1996 in Goulburn, New South Wales, aged 79.

The Argus on 24 March 1860 reported re the Denominational School Board: The efficiency of the training establishement in connexion with the Church of England has been increased by the arrival from England of a superintendent, Mr Stephen Chancellor Dixon, who commenced his duties on 7 Feb 1859 at a salary of £550 per annum.
He was electoed as a member of the Royal Society in June 1865..
     Stephen died on 1 November 1891 in 'Sylverley', Hawthorn Rd, Caulfield, Victoria, aged 75. He was aged 75. Late Superintendent of Training Schools, Melbourne.

Charles Killigrew Dobson married secondly Mary Ann Haines on 18 August 1890 in Dalkey, Gilbert, South Australia. They married at the residence of the bride's parents.
Charles was a salesman or auctioneer at his marriage, a butcher at his second marriage, then a caretaker at his death.
     Charles died of morbis cordis on 18 June 1915 in the Adelaide Hospital, Adelaide, South Australia, aged 60. He was a caretaker and his usual residence was Rundle St, Kent Town. He was buried after 18 June 1915 in Kent Town, South Australia.
