Nor do I believe that James Goben/Gobin, Mary Ann's first husband was her father. For some unknown reason James and Mary Ann seem to have parted not too long after their marriage in 1859. (Note: NSW BDM website shows incorrect marriage details for James Gobin and Mary Ann Murray's marriage, but I have the correct certificate). Jane (known as Bland) married Alexander Fraser in 1888, and their daughter Olive is my grandmother, thus Mary Ann is my gt gt grandmother..
