     Charles Paget Bowker was born on 22 June 1867 in 'Gravel Mount', Ordsall, Retford, Nottinghamshire. He was the son of Henry Charles Bowker and Ellen Roe. Charles Paget Bowker was christened on 22 August 1867 in St Saviour, Retford, Nottinghamshire.

     I might mention that an office copy of the will of Dr. Richard Ryther Steer Bowker was lodged in this Office in connection with Primary Application No. 13206 which resulted in the issue of Certificate of Title Volume 1551 Folio 63 in the names of his executors Robert Steer Bowker of Sydney, Physician, Charles Stanser Bowker of Dungog, Physician, Cedric Victor Bowker of Sydney, Physician, and Elizabeth Steer Rich, wife of George Edward Rich of Sydney, Barrister-at-law for land situated in Georgetown Road, Georgetown (then in the Municipal District of Waratah) and comprising two parcels of 6 acres 3 roods 41/2 perches and 2 roods 11 1/2 perches, being parts of Lot 1A of a partition of part of 35 acres Allotment 77 (Portion 135 of Parish). These lands were the subject of transfers in 1905 and 1907.

Probate has boen granted of the will of the late Dr. Charles Stanser Bowker, medical practitioner, of Randwick, who died on February 7, aged 65 years, leaving an estate of the net value of £20,608, Testator appointed his wife. Alice Annie Bowker, his daughter, Phyllis Stanser Bowker, and his son, Richard Marlow Stanser Bowker, his executors and trustees. He left legacies of £1000 each to his? son and daughter, the income from his estate to his widow during her life; after her death the residue to be divided equally among his children.

The abstract then notes that Frances Wakefield, tenant for life under the will of her husband, died in 1748; that John Ridge, one of the devisees in fee under the will of TW, died under the age of 21 years and without issue whereupon the fee simple and inheritance of and in the premises became solely vested in Mary Dixon; that MD married James Bowker of London, gent, in 1749 or 1750 at St Giles's (Middx.) and he died in 1768 and was buried at St. Sepulchre's London.
