     Charles and Robert was a student in Appleby Grammar School, Appleby Magna, Leicestershire, from 25 Oct 1826 Richard Ryther Steer, aged 11, Robert Stanser aged 9, almost 10, and Chas Stanser Bowker commenced at Appleby School, as day scholars.
     Charles died before 19 November 1834 in Appleby Magna, Leicestershire. He was buried on 19 November 1834 in Appleby Magna.

Dr Charles Stanser Bowker

     Dr Charles Stanser Bowker was born on 19 January 1864 at 11 p.m. (Sunday) in Newcastle, New South Wales. He was the son of Richard Ryther Steer Bowker and Lydia Frances Phillips.
     Dr Charles Stanser Bowker was on the passenger list of the "Brilliant", arriving at England, in 1883. The ship departed on the 17/18 April. Charles was a physician and surgeon in New South Wales from 1891. NSW Medical Board no. 1674, 13 May 1891: Member of the Royal College of Surgeons, England, Licentiate of the Royal College of Physicians, London 1891.
In July 1894 he commenced practice at West Maitland, advertising: formerly with his father Hon. Dr Bowker. Hours 9-11, 2-4, 7-8.
Dr Charles Stanser Bowker was listed in a directory dated 1896 as a doctor at West Maitland, New South Wales, Australia. Also listed there in 1898 in the Register of Medical Practitioners.

Ltd; (2) Vol.117 fol.33 - 1 rood, the residue of allotment 6 of section 18 (Denison St) also transferred in 1918 to the above (both in Carrington); (3) Vol.385 fol.70 - 16.75 perches, being Lot 1 Deposited plan 394 (Darlinghurst Rd) at Darlinghurst - transferred in 1908 to W C & A G Donovan; (4) Vol.96 fol.47 - 2 acres 1 rood - part of the Delamere estate (Yarrannabee Rd) at Darling Point - transferred in 2 parcels in 1913. 1904 Mar 16: Conveyance: executors of the will of R R S Bowker & R S Bowker as trustee re above settlement & children of settlors to Moses Smith of Lots 30, 31, 33-35 (Reg. book 757 no.637) Consideration £800.      I might mention that an office copy of the will of Dr. Richard Ryther Steer Bowker was lodged in this Office in connection with Primary Application No. 13206 which resulted in the issue of Certificate of Title Volume 1551 Folio 63 in the names of his executors Robert Steer Bowker of Sydney, Physician, Charles Stanser Bowker of Dungog, Physician, Cedric Victor Bowker of Sydney, Physician, and Elizabeth Steer Rich, wife of George Edward Rich of Sydney, Barrister-at-law for land situated in Georgetown Road, Georgetown (then in the Municipal District of Waratah) and comprising two parcels of 6 acres 3 roods 41/2 perches and 2 roods 11 1/2 perches, being parts of Lot 1A of a partition of part of 35 acres Allotment 77 (Portion 135 of Parish). These lands were the subject of transfers in 1905 and 1907.
     In respect of lands held under Torrens Title, the executors (pursuant to Transmission Application No. 18297) became registered proprietors of the lands in Certificates of Title

     Dr Charles Stanser Bowker and Alice Annie Trader were on the passenger list of the "Demosthenes", arriving at London, on 4 April 1924.
     Charles died on 7 February 1929 in Randwick, New South Wales, aged 65. BOWKER. — February 27, 1929, at his residence, Allerton, 6 Botany street, Randwick, Charles Stanser Bowker, M.R.C.S., L.R.C.P., London, second son of the late Hon. Richard Ryther Steer Bowker, M.D., London, MLC, New South Wales, beloved husband of Alice A. (Junee), aged 65 years. He was buried in South Head.
     His will was proved on 1 March 1929. LATE DR. C S BOWKER. Probate has boen granted of the will of the late Dr. Charles Stanser Bowker, medical practitioner, of Randwick, who died on February 7, aged 65 years, leaving an estate of the net value of £20,608, Testator appointed his wife. Alice Annie Bowker, his daughter, Phyllis Stanser Bowker, and his son, Richard Marlow Stanser Bowker, his executors and trustees. He left legacies of £1000 each to his? son and daughter, the income from his estate to his widow during her life; after her death the residue to be divided equally among his children.

Glasgow Royal Infirmary & Assistant House Surgeon Rotherham Hospsital. He discovered a successful treatment for Lupus in 1903 which was written up in "Lancet". See letter dated 25 June 1911.

Covers 1734-1824 As to 2 cottages or tenements and orchard with common rights etc. Abstracting final concord (8 Geo II) - see ZB0584/04; deed to declare the uses of the fine (6 Nov. 1734) - see ZB584/5; will of Thomas Wakefield (6 Nov. 1734) - see ZB0584/06. The abstract then notes that Frances Wakefield, tenant for life under the will of her husband, died in 1748; that John Ridge, one of the devisees in fee under the will of TW, died under the age of 21 years and without issue whereupon the fee simple and inheritance of and in the premises became solely vested in Mary Dixon; that MD married James Bowker of London, gent, in 1749 or 1750 at St Giles's (Middx.) and he died in 1768 and was buried at St. Sepulchre's London. These are followed by marginal notes by attorneys re, inter alia, the need for the vendor to find the relevant certificates of baptism etc. and re a possible settlement made of the estate sold to Mr. Gardener upon the marriage of MD and JB. Deeds relating to a farmhouse and 144 acres in Middlemoor district, Ramsey... (And subsequent deeds) (for the purpose of showing Mrs Wells is barred of her dower.) Samuel Wells, eldest son and heir at law and devisee named in the will of the late William Wells, to William Bowker and Daniel Gray, trustees. In consideration of the marriage intended between Wells and Patty Bowker and £500 paid by David Bowker as a marriage portion for his daughter Patty. His estate called Honey in the hamlet of Wimblington, Isle of Ely, Cambs., to hold to certain users, including, on the death of Wells, to use of themselves to the intent that Patty Bowker might receive out of the premises an annuity of £650 in lieu of all dower which might have out of Wells's real or personal estates.
     In William Bowker's will dated 14 September 1775 in Peterborough, David Bowker was named as heir.
     David died before 27 January 1781 in Farcett, Huntingdonshire. He was buried on 27 January 1781 in Farcett.
