     Dudley Burnham Lake Bowker was born on 31 July 1914 in New Zealand. He was the son of Henry Layton Bowker and Emily Mercy Lake.
     Dudley Burnham Lake Bowker served in the War between 1939 and 1944. He was a trooper in the NZ Armoured Corps, and is commemorated in the Coriano Ridge War cemetery.
     Dudley was killed in action on 15 September 1944 in Rimini, Italy, aged 30.
     His will was proved in 1944 at Christchurch.

     Edward died before 22 June 1711 in Peterborough, Northamptonshire. The Yaxley parish register records a Mr Edward Bowker being buried in April 1710!.

     Edward Ballard Bowker was born on 6 June 1872 in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. He was born 1 January according to his descendants but the Sydney Morning Herald announced: On Saturday, the 6th instant, at her residence, Santoft, New- castle, the wife of Dr Bowker, of a son.. He was the son of Richard Ryther Steer Bowker and Lydia Frances Phillips.
     Edward Ballard Bowker was on the passenger list, arriving at London, England, in 1891.
     Edward matriculated Dentistry at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, between September 1894 and 1897. He had commenced studying medicine at Middlesex Hospital but felt overwhelmed by medicine according to Ben Champion.
His father's diary states, about September 20th Edward starts for Phildaphia 1st class, £49 give him £5 in cash, a draft for £50 and send another draft there...
He became a Doctor of Dental Surgery. Richard RRS Bowker his grandson, claims to have the dental plate from out the front of his surgery at Pennsylvania. Edward was a dentist from 1897,Newcastle, New South Wales. Doctor of Dental Surgery (Pennsylvania). His practices were in Watt St Newcastle and Station Street, Waratah. He lived above the Watt St building until at least 1902.
Edward Ballard Bowker married Laura Lillian Shelley on 7 April 1900 in St John's, Newcastle, New South Wales. They are supposed to have had a stillborn son [Bruce], but there is no record. An unknown person was listed as a dentist in Station Street in Waratah, New South Wales, in a directory dated in 1901.

     Edward resided at Brighton Avenue, Toronto, New South Wales, 1936. They lived two houses past Jarrett St, on the waterfront, going towards Coal Point.
'Doc', as he was known to all his family, was a tall, good-looking man. He was much loved by his grandchildren, amusing them with stories about a white ghost horse that walked along the verandah and another about a wallaby chasing him down Wallarobba Mountain (part of the Wattagan Range). He had a good sense of humour and often played pranks on people. He loved Paterson and the surrounding Hunter Valley. They had a holiday house at Belmont.
     He moved to Maitland and lived in a very large house now occupied by Mr Haines. In Jan 1882 "Glenellen" a recently erected house on one and a half acres, was occupied by G W F Addison who put it up for sale. It was advertised again 1st July 1882. It was up for sale again 17 October 1894, no occupier mentioned. Edward Bowker, sold to Mr Hain (of Swan, Murray & Hain) in 1913].
     Edward resided at 105 Regent St, Maitland. In later years they lived with their son Ted and his family. The house was converted into two flats after Doc died.
     Edward died on 14 November 1949 in Maitland aged 77. He slipped on a muddy verandah after a flood and from then he declined. He was cremated in Beresfield, New South Wales.

     Edward resided at 16 Terrace Street, Newcastle, New South Wales, until 1940.
     Edward resided at 105 Regent St, Maitland, from 1940. Edward was a motor mechanic & garage propietor He became the Manager of McLeod, Kelso and Lee, Chevrolet & Holden dealers, in Maitland, New South Wales.
He was a short man (5' 7") with dark olive skin, blue eyes and a prominent dimple in his chin. He had very curly black hair which whitened about 40 years of age. He had a dark beard which gave his face a blue shadow. Having grown up at Belmont & Toronto on Lake Macquarie, he was a very keen sailor. He loved Lake Macquarie and often sailed from Belmont to Sydney.
     Edward died on 22 May 1961 in Maitland, New South Wales, aged 59. He was cremated on 24 May 1961 in Beresfield.
