     Martin Thomas Cocksedge and Jane Esther Toosey were beneficiaries in Rev Roger Cocksedge M.A.'s will dated 7 June 1805 in Bury St Edmunds.
Martin Thomas Cocksedge married Mary Susanna Le Heup, daughter of Michael William Le Heup and Mary Wyche Waddington, on 27 August 1807 in St Mary, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.
     Martin Thomas Cocksedge and Mary Susanna Le Heup obtained a marriage licence on 29 August 1807 in Suffolk. Martin Thos. Cocksedge, of BSE,esq., s.m. & Mary Susannah Leheup, of BSE, s.w., 19, (father Michael Wm Le Heup, of same, esq) at same.
Martin Thomas Cocksedge married Laetitia Symonds. The notes in the Oakes diary state that he married Laetitia, daughter of Capiian John Symonds, great niece of Dr John Symonds, by whom he had 2 sons. However the registers show that a Letitia Cocksedge the wife of John Symonds had a son John in 1802, and daughter Julia Mary Ann in 180 and Louise in 1811 baptised at St Mary's BSE.
Mary Susanna is described as the widow of Martin Thomas in 1825.
     Martin resided at St Edmund's Hill, Bury St Edmunds, 1822.
     Martin Thomas Cocksedge made a will dated 7 February 1823. Copy of the will of Martin Thomas Cocksedge of St Edmunds Hill, Bury St Edmunds, esq. - ref. HA 535/3/17 - date: 7 Feb 1823.
     Martin died on 6 January 1824 in Bury St Edmunds aged 42. The Bury Post reported on Jan 7 1824: Yesterday morning at St Edmund's Hill, aged 42... Martin Cocksedge, Esq., son of Thomas Cocksedge of this town.
Note that the Bury Post also reported on May 12 1824: Wed. last, after a short illness in the 35th year of his age, Mr Thomas Cocksedge, book keeper of the Angel Coach Office in this town. He was buried on 12 January 1824 in St Bartholomew, Ingham. A memorial stone at St Mary's Broadwater, Worthing, Ssx lists Thos Martin Cocksedge, son of the late Colonel Cocksedge of St Edmunds hill, Suffolk, and of Mary Sussanah his wife, daughter of the late Michael Willm Leheup, Esq of Hessett, Suffolk and Ashell Hertfordshire. Died May 5 1816 aged 31 years.
     His will was proved on 3 May 1824 at the Prerogative Court of Canterbury.
