     Matthias Cocksedge married Penelope Braham in 1704 in Brome, Suffolk.
     Deed to the uses of a fine by Matthias Cocksedge, grocer, of Bury St. Edmunds and wife Penelope and Luke Taylor, dish-turner, of Ipswich and wife Mary (nee Wright) to William Crafts, yeoman, of Rougham : Messuage and 2 acres in Sturston (occupied by Henry Davey and John Wharton) and 1/3 and messuages and lands in Bramford, Somersham and Elmsett (occupied by Elisabeth Wright, widow, Jonathan Pool, Francis Webb and John Ralph) Attached is Final concord Date: 23 April 1718.
     Matthias Cocksedge made a will dated 14 July 1719 in Bury St Edmunds. Matthias Cocksesdge of Bury St Edmunds mentions his wife Penelope, his sons Matthias & Thomas (land in Ixworth). daughters Elizabeth Cocksedge, Penelope Cocksedge, Jane Cocksedge, Martha Cocksedge and Catherine Cocksedge.
     Matthias died before 23 July 1719 in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. He was buried on 23 July 1719 in St James, Bury St Edmunds. Mr Mathias Cocksedge.
     His will was proved on 5 September 1719 at Sudbury.
     Matthias Cocksedge was mentioned on 9 November 1750.

     Matthias Cocksedge married Abigail Hall in 1730 in St Clements, Ipswich, Suffolk. Married by licence. Matthias was an Attorney-at-law, Bury St Edmunds.
     Matthias died in July 1749 in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, aged 42. There is a tombstone in Bury churchyard.
