     Vera died on 5 July 1936 in New South Wales aged 55. LADY BLACKBURN. The death occurred on Sunday, after a long illness, of Lady Blackburn, wife of Sir Charles Blackburn, of Macleay-street, Potts Point, who was knighted in the recent birthday honours. Lady Blackburn was formerly Miss Vera Le Patourel, and as a girl was one of the noted beauties of Sydney. She was the daughter of the late Captain and Mrs. Henry Le Patourel, the latter being one of the first women writers on the staff of "The Sydney Morning Herald." Until two years ago, Lady Blackburn was president of the Woollahra-Darling Point auxiliary of the New South Wales Crippled Children's Society, and was also Interested in the Bush Nursing Association and the Women's Guild of Empire. Lady Blackburn is survived by her husband Sir Charles Blackburn, a son, Mr. Ruthven Blackburn, who is in the last year of his medical course at the Sydney University; and a daughter, Miss Vera Blackburn..

His wife Ann was executrix and received the house and stock in trade in Watlington for life and after her death to his brother Edward in trust for all his nephews and nieces then alive. He also left £50 to each of all his nephews and nieces this to be paid after the death of his wife. The fifty in the date has been crossed out and replaced with Seventy, with the note - the erasure of fifty and the insertion of seventy was before the signing and sealing; but this doesn't make sense - he didn't marry until 1771.
     John died before 29 March 1791 in Watlington, Oxfordshire. He was buried on 29 March 1791 in Watlington.
     His will was proved on 7 May 1791 at the Prerogative Court of Canterbury.
