     Alan died in January 1993 in Devon aged 70.

He is probaby the Albert Ruby aged 29 who arrived in Victoria in June 1905 from Britain on the Suevic.
     Albert was registered as Albert Edward Ruby, printer at 24 Moreland Rd, Coburg, on the 1908 electoral roll. He was listed with his mother and sisters.
Albert Edward Ruby married Ivy Madeline Wood on 11 July 1911 in the Methodist church, Brunswick, Victoria.

     Albert Lancelot Ruby was commonly known as Lance. He was born on 10 July 1913 in Elsternwick, Victoria. He was the son of Albert Edward Ruby and Ivy Madeline Wood. Albert was vicar at Lismore, New South Wales, in 1941.
     Albert served in the Army (V352781) at Lismore, as a private on 26 March 1942 and was discharged from the Volunteer Defence Corps on 5 April 1942. His next of kin was Peggy. in 1942.
     He served as a Captain in the Army (VX90041) from 1942 to 1945. His next of kin was given as Peggy Ruby. Enlisted at Caulfield on 10 August 1942 from Hawkburn [sic]Discharged 10 Jul 1945. Posting at discharge AACHD. Minister of Religion.
Albert Lancelot Ruby married secondly Phyllis Unknown.
     Albert died on 3 December 1990 in New South Wales aged 77. His death was reported in the Sydney Morning Herald on Dec 5 1990, p. 36. An advertisement for claims on his estate appeared in the SMH on Mar 19 1991, he was described as a public servant of Dee Why..

     Albert Walling Ruby travelled to Australia on 29 October 1972 per the "He spent 11 days in Australia for a holiday, staying at the Board of Trade Towers!, describuing himself as an executive. He arrived via Wellington, NZ.".
     Albert resided at 10 Highland Avenue, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, 1995.
     Albert died on 7 October 2009 in Ontario, Canada, aged 94. RUBY, A. Walling. Passed away on Wednesday, October 7th, 2009, at 94 years of age. Predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Julia Mary Ross, and by their son Ross. Walling will be missed by his five daughters and their families: Mary Ruby (Wood Hill), Julia and Isabel Ruby-Hill; Victoria Ruby (Howard Freeman), Brooke and Ross Freeman; Joanna Ruby, Sarah and David Armstrong; Jan Ruby (Mary Thomson); Julia Ruby Foster (Robert Foster), Robert Foster (Jenny Foster), Simon Foster (Melanie Foster), Jessica Foster, Joanna Foster ( Matt Killen); and by his great-grandchildren, Robert, Thomas, Allwyn, Will and Finn. And by his sister-in-law Anne Leake.

Walling was born in Midland, Ontario, graduated from McMaster University and settled in Toronto after WWII. Walling was an officer in the RCAF and served in Fighter Command with the British RAF. He went on to have a very successful, exciting and diverse business career in finance and land development. At heart, he was forever the camp counselor of years ago, leading his family and friends on skiing adventures in Ontario and Europe, fishing and picnicking on the waters of Georgian Bay and hiking in the Haliburton Highlands. His greatest loves beyond his family and friends were the words of Shakespeare, classical music and the golden and labrador retrievers, who were ever present at his side.

Walling's family wishes to extend its most sincere and heartfelt thanks to his care giver of many years, Hanna Gulcz, for her loyal and caring support. Hanna made it possible for him to remain in his home until the last week of his long and busy life. The family also thanks the staff of ParaMed Home Care.

There will be a service in Walling's memory at Rosedale United Church, 159 Glen Road, on Monday, October 19th at 4:00 pm. A reception will follow.
